Sam and I are presenting two BOFs this year, representing the new company that we recently joined called Evolution. The first of these is called Testing Strategies for JavaTM Technology-Based Web Applications.

This session describes the different strategies for testing web applications that are built with JavaServer PagesTM and JavaTM servlet technologies, and explains how to make use of the open source testing frameworks that are now available. The session includes a discussion of how to design a web application to better facilitate testing, and a look at how the resulting constituent components can themselves be tested.

The session wraps up with a look at how a real-world web application has been tested, using real code samples to illustrate the principles.

Come along if you want to see and hear about how tools such as JUnit, JUnitEE, TagUnit and mock objects can be applied to J2EE web application development.
