Feed Description: My thoughts on Java, software development and technology.
Sam and I presented our two BOFs last night and as he said, they went really well. In fact, as I write this in the Alumni room, somebody just came up to us and thanked us again, which was nice. :-)
We had one of the huge rooms in Hall E, Moscone North for the testing webapps session and I've never presented there before. It was one of the rooms with the high stage, dual projector hookup and full wireless mics. This was very cool and I really enjoyed the experience. We had about 100 people turn up for this session and considering that it was happening at the same time as the AfterDark party (21:30 on Wednesday evening) we were really impressed! Thankfully we had some time for questions at the end although we had to run across the road to the Marriott hotel to present the other BOF about J2EE on Mac OS X. There were far fewer people in this one but we still had an enthusiastic audience nonetheless. This session was a lot of fun and it was a great chance to chat to fellow Mac geeks. Speaking of Mac geeks, Mike and I were video-conferencing each other earlier in the night via iChat.
Sam has posted the slides for the Mac session and the testing webapps slides can be found here. I have some more stuff to post about the conference but that's going to have to wait until I get back home as I have an airplane to catch!
