I do not mean to be mean but Sun's J2ME articles are approaching level so Hani inadequacy. Not in terms of technical points or facts that Hani leaves out so his points seem more inadequate and lame, but in exploring new things or combinations possible in J2ME. For example , The J2ME Mobile Media API article seems lacking innovation.

Now what if Sun looked outside their own freaking office and thought hmm why not a SMS empowered song player using the concepts of this tutorial titled Implementing Push technology with J2ME and MIDP. Then you could have messges from speficic groups trigger specific playing of certain songs which is a SMS app killer! Hook it up to a database collection of songs chossen by the end user, wow custoemrs!
