Since its version 3.0 its not too new, but once again you can see that the preasure from c# is there. A very interessting new feature seems to be:

J2EE conversion. This release supports converting J2EE 1.3 and JDK 1.3 libraries as well as EJB, JAAS, JCE, JMS, JNDI, and RMI.

And if all this is not enough, they try to catch the J2SE developers with easy to download, easy to learn Express Editions of their stuff. Even its a cold summer here in germany, its a hot one in the java community.
