With Swixml, Graphical User Interfaces are described in XML documents, which are parsed at runtime and rendered into javax.swing objects.
A maintenance release of Swixml, the small GUI generating engine for Java applications and applets, has been made available last night.
The 1.2 release fixes a couple smaller problems and provides better localization control, especially useful when resources like xml GUI descriptors or languange properties file are loaded at runtime from a remote server.
Moreover, by deprecating some of the methods definitely not support in future versions, Swixml 1.2 tries to prepare Java developers using the library for the upcoming Swixml 2.
I have committed the source code changes into CVS at java.net and also made a complete distribution, containing sources, binaries, apidocs, and tag documentation, available on the Swixml web site.
