You know what is depressing? The quality of Java articles coming out
within the java community. First, we have people like Hani(Fate) adding to
the noise level without basic fact checking and facts backing up his
grossely invaild points; then we have
Today@java.net talking about stuff that happen 2 freaking weeks ago
and was already discussed within the java community.
About the only
reliable source of articles, tips, new java innovations, and etc that I
have is javablogs.com. Oh, a
question for SUN staff. Why should a site or community subserviant
themselves to java.net rules to become federated at java.net when they may
be already a good citizen of the java community? Sounds a bit like a
fiefdom doesn't it?
Reading the
Federation Rules at java.net is a bit like reading cult rules and
procedures:
Must Believe in Java
Must believe in Sun's java
vision
Cannot tell if emperor has no clothes because it might harm
the SUN god.
[I am using sarcasm here in the above lines. If you
cannot recognize that as satire, then you need to upgrade your reading
skills.]
When the community works in being open and uncensored good
articles do find their ways towards the surface.
Javablogs.com is a good example of this effect. When you shackle people in
their expressions such as java.net; you
find that quality articles are rare to be found.
