I've been spending more time living lately.  I'm used to living to work, but lately I feel like I've been working to live.  I work long days usually, come home and don't fire up the laptop immediately to read my email from the various email lists, delete the spam, reply to inconsequential email threads on Java ClassLoaders, etc.

The more time I spend with my wife, acting spontaneously and trying to do simple but fun things, the more I feel like I'm making good use of my lifetime.  I am fortunate.  I am thankful to have the money, time and freedom to enjoy life a little when I'm not working.
