While Swixml 2.0 will work without a DOM parser and therefore also JDOM will not be included anymore, Swixml 1.2 still requires it.

And it really happened, after a couple years in beta, on Sept. 9th 2004 Jason Hunter has released JDOM 1.0, an open source API for processing XML with Java. Fortunately, the API is unchanged since beta 10 and there should be no problem dropping it into your Swixml distribution.
