you know where the word 'wop' comes from? it's a turn of the century term for illegal immigrants. it's an acronym for WithOut Papers. martin scorsese taught me that.
bushwald: In WWI, Gen. C. Eugene McCornnut won a decisive battle in Italy by bribing Generalisimo T.T. Vespa (who later went on to found Airbus) with "Whoppers" candy. The dough-boys, from then on, would say, "those crazy whop-lovers." Then this evolved to simply "whop."
