First, this is not a paid endorsement. This actually happened last Thursday...

I'm working away at the new job Thursday when I get an instant message from my good friend Matthew Porter over at Contegix. He asked me what the heck I was doing with ClientJava.com. Clueless, I say pretty typical day. He then informs me that the site is pushing 30m/s of bandwith. Outside of a big download day, it normally does 150m+ a day. Something was definitely going on. Upon futher review there were 200+ open connections hammering the site. I was getting DOS'd.. I don't remember pissing anyone off last week so I'm going to chalk it up to random internet chaos. The more popular the site has gotten, the more referer and 302 redirect spam I've gotten. I had never gotten DOS'd though. We quickly identified the bad IP's and blocked them at the router. All in a days work for Matt and the guys at Contegix I guess. Whoever DOS'd me ... I'm sorry for whatever I did. I'm just trying to run a cool site about Java.
