There appears to be general confusion by people not tuned to J2ME that there is not any J2ME RI for ARM or PocketPC according to this JavaLobby thread and this one. However, this not the case.

For one IBM resells their J9 RI to several companies including IntrinsycSoftware. You will notice that it supports running on windowsCE with CE.NET support coming in the near future.

Esmertec of course, bought out Intinsync's ARM RI and is pushing forward with that J2ME RI for ARM processors indluing support of Jazelle instruction sets and other chip sets such as Qualcomm and Texas Instruments. Noticeable deployments in market are Kycera's first Java enabled(BREW) phone amoung others.
