What is
suprising is how many carriers/mobile operators have not picked up on the
fact that having downloadable game delivery and a better set of initial
games in the handset is a selling point of the handset within that
network! Since carrieirs often are able to take 50% of this revenue from
downloads as their own it woudl be in their best interest not to drop the
ball in this area.
Same concern goes for those Asian handset amkers
who have still not provided the appriopriate emulators for effective J2ME
application/game developement using MIDP1.0. Namely, NEC, Panasonic,
Kyreca, and etc have failed to take this issue seriously.
