So here I am, stuck at my girlfriend's, trying to move some 17gb of data from my laptop to her desktop. No network cables available, no way I'm burning 17gb of CD-Rs, and DVD-Rs are just too expensive. I can't get the laptop's HD to work outside of it (no adapters), so, the only option I have for now is to use an USB A/A cable, but I just couldn't find a place to set up a network over it anywhere on Windows XP (on Linux, it's OK, I can use PPP over USB). Any ideas, before I get mad and just go outside buy some CAT5 cable?
