Andrew asked if anyone wants to put together a PyCon2005 podcast, and I scraped it from PyCon's 'talks' page with a little help from my friends Mechanoid, BeautifulSoup, and PyRSS2Gen.
It became clear early on that pycon.org's bandwidth is 'lacking' to host a number of heavy downloads, but the hosting company I've used for some stuff, python-hosting.com (I am only a client, but have good things to say about them nevertheless ;) graciously allowed usage of their server for the audio files.
In the end Andrew set up a page dedicated to audio on python.org. These are the new times... Check it out! www.python.org/audio.
One warning: unfortunately the quality of the audio for PyCon 2005 leaves a lot to be desired - the volume fades in and out on it, and I mean WAY out. I fixed some of it by dumly finding the trouble spots and using the 'amplify' filter with Audacity, but there is only so much I could do. Hopefully PyCon2006 will yield better results.
