I'm playing with the no-magic version of Django and I wanted to use PostgreSQL. The only choice of a bridge module appeared to be psycopg, version 1 (no longer maintaied). Let me tell you, this made me wish I was using windoze - it's a total and utter pain in the ass to install the thing, never mind if you get into trouble the way I did.
The only sane answer seemed to be following this advise. Thanks Yura, it worked like magic!
