There's a lot going on around Portland, Oregon, to get hackers working together.
Below is a list of groups/events I've discovered. I haven't yet attended any of them, but I'm planning to hit most of them throughout this year. Not all are focused on entrepreneurship, but I bet that the attendees are the right types of people for startups (a future post will discuss that personality type).
Some of those sites have RSS feeds. Subscribing to those are probably the best way to hear about their upcoming meetings. If you're thinking about organizing a group, or become responsible for setting up a future meeting, you might want to look into using one of these tools (some of the groups above use them):
If you're thinking about getting in on the action, you should sign up for the fast-approaching Startup Weekend, over Memorial Day. It's a 54-hour hack-fest where you close the weekend with some new friends and a new startup business. It's only $40 and they appear to still have some spots available. See you there!
