Feed Description: A weblog about Python from the view point of Jarno Virtanen.
For the record, I have closed the feedback poll. Thank you, around 60
people alltogether, for taking the time to submit it. I will begin to
summarize and graph the results.
For the record, I have nothing against Ruby or Perl, but I have no special desire to
use them either. Both of them basically fill the same niche as Python;
Ruby even more so.
For the record, I am quite sure that if you critisize Python, "they"
don't say "But Guido just fixed that in the latest release! Get with
the program!", whoever "they" might actually be. But you have to be
precise; like this, for example: "Why must I say in Python
1.5.2 ...". While there are still a lot of programs running on
Python 1.5.2, I would consider it rather strange to start programming
in Python with that version.
For the record, I am not being cranky nor angry here. I am just
stating some facts, for a change, for the record. ;-)
