About six months ago I sent an email to Sleepycat asking for an installer for Windows. While it was possible to build bdb on Windows, it had to be done manually and was a royal pain. I received a nice reply stating that they thought it was a good idea. Time passed, and I thought that perhaps I had been politely dismissed.
Until I checked their website today and discovered that, as of 4.3, their is an installer for Windows. Woo-hoo! Now I have to get on Guy Decoux's case about making his Ruby bindings build properly on Windows.
All this so I can play with a Ruby package called "rbot". :)
