I hate arguments over SCM's even more than I hate emacs vs vi arguments. At least the latter is usually done in a tongue in cheek 'tastes great/less filling' sort of way because you know you aren't really going to convince anyone to switch. On the other hand, with SCM's people start getting to into feature comparisons and arguing over issues that have no practical implications whatsoever. Not really.
I run one of the most popular projects on RubyForge, called win32utils. I use CVS. There are two active committers. The popularity and successful management of my project has NOTHING to do with the source control manager I'm using.
