I just finished Vernor Vinge's Rainbows End. Verdict? Meh. It's well written, I just didn't get into it. I have a feeling I'm going to feel that way about most near-future fiction, really. I think I'm just too close to the metal to suspend some of my disbelief.

Next up is Deepness in the Sky, also by Vernor Vinge. We'll how this one goes.
