I was strongly considering dumping the OS X box and using my old laptop as a desktop box, using it as a dual boot Windows/Linux machine. Unfortunately, the primary fan has started to die and the cost of replacing it amounts to a new laptop. It's on its last legs I guess. I should probably trade it in for store credit or something.

So, instead, I've decided to go ahead and keep the OS X box. There was some sort of holiday special for 50% off VMWare Fusion 2.0, so I went ahead and bought that. I've now got Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP Pro installed as virtual machines, too. My attempt to install Solaris 10 failed, though, so I'll have to figure that one out. I figure I'll add FreeBSD at some point, too.

I think I'll need to add some more RAM to this sucker to make the VM's run a little more smoothly. I'm at 2gb at the moment, but I should probably bump that to 4.
