Macromedia is looking for a software architect for the Flex engineering team in India.

Requirements

• 6+ (ideally 8-10) years in software engineering
• BTech (ideally MTech) in computer science
• Expertise designing user interfaces
• Strong desire to mentor a team of talented engineers

Ideal

• Experience developing in Flash/ActionScript or JavaScript/DHTML
• Strong knowledge of web application development tools, technologies, languages (JSP, XML), and trends
• Experience architecting UI component frameworks
• Experience shipping shrink-wrapped software tools

The key to this profile is the experience designing user interfaces. We’re also looking for expertise with MFC, Swing or Qt, since understanding of object-oriented development frameworks is critical to being successful in this role.

Candidates who are very strong in core Java, EJB, JSP, SQL, and so on, may be great candidates, but without the user interface experience they will not be a perfect match for this position. Experience with telecom and networking is nice to have for most engineers, but is not very helpful for this position.

We are not fussy about where this special person is living, as long as they are in Bangalore or are keen on moving here.
