Learn how you could change the display backlight timeout on the Samsung Galaxy S II.

If you want to save battery power you could set a shorter timeout period for backlight display. Conversely, it can be annoying if the display turn dark to quickly which doesn't give you enough time to read the message. Here's how to modify it to your personal preference.

1. Press the Home key to go to the Home screen.

2. Then tap on Settings.

3. Then tap on Display.

4. Select Screen timeout.

5. Now select the desire timeout period.
