Learn how you could connect to a Wi-Fi network on the Samsung Galaxy S II.

When you are near a Wi-Fi hotspot it is better to have your phone to use the Wi-Fi network to connect to the internet gather then using the 3G network as 3G can cost you money and it is generally slower if you wanted to download large file. Here's how:

1. Press the Home button to the home screen.

2. Then press the Menu key.

3. Then tap on Settings.

4. Now select Wireless and network.

5. Then select Wi-Fi settings.

6. From the Wi-Fi networks screen, select the network you would like to join.

7. If that network requires a password then you need to put in the password.

8. Finally tap on Connect to join in.

If all goes well you should be able to browse the web from your device. Once you have finished using the Wi-Fi remember to switch it off as having this feature enabled it will consume battery power.
