A reader has recent ask how they could perform a hard reset the Samsung Epic 4G, because they find the device is not performance optimally.
To reset the device you have 2 choices, either through the software menu or the hardware key. Here are the steps:
Use software menu
1. Go to the Home screen by pressing the Home button.
2. Now tap on Menu .
3. Next select Settings .
4. Then choose Privacy .
5. Now tap Factory data reset .
6. Next tap on Reset phone .
7. Finally you will be ask to put in your password to proceed.
8. Next tap on Yes to confirm.Use Hardware Key
If your device is unresponsive you and you have try to press all the keys but nothing seem to work, then you could try this:
1. First switch off the device.
2. Next press and hold the Volume Down button.
3. Then quickly press and release the Power button.
4. Now navigation to the Clear Storage option. You can use the Volume Down key to navigate up and down.
5. Next press and release the Power button.
6. Now you can confirm your choise by pressing the Volume up key.
