HTC has come out with an amazing Amaze 4G allowing you to use the powerful Camera capturing brilliant images and videos. However sometimes your device will become slow or not responding at all, you could try to reset the device back to the default factory setting to get it going again.
Note: before you carry out the below steps, if there are any data on the device that you want to keep then make sure you have back them up first. Once the device is reset, all the data on it will be erased. All data on the SD card should be preserved.
Via Software Menu
1. Go back to the Home screen..
2. Next choose Settings.
4. Next tap on SD & Phone Storage.
5. Then select Factory data reset.
6. Ten tap on Reset phone.
7. Put in the password when prompt.
8. Now tap on Erase everything.
Via Hardware Key
1. Turn off the phone by pulling out the battery and put it back in.
2. Press and hold the Volume down button, then press the Power button for a brief period.
3. When you see the Android picture shows up on the screen let go of the Volume Down button.
5. Next use the Volume down key and select Factory Reset.
6. Finally press the Power button.
Your HTC Amaze 4G should begin to reset the device and bring it back to the factory setting.
