If you want to connect to a private network such as a network of the company you are working for, you will need to setup the Motorola VPN connection.

Virtual private networks (VPNs) are a technology for connecting to the resources inside a secured local network from another network. Here's how to start a secure communication with your work network:

1. Tap the Home button.

2. Taps on Apps xoom-apps .

3. Next select Settings xoom-settings.

4. Tap on Wireless & Networks.

5. Tap on VPN settings.

6. Next tap on Add VPN.

7. Now you have the option to the following different type:

  • Add PPTP VPN - Point to point tunneling protocol
  • Add L2TP VPN - Layer 2 tunneling protocal
  • Add L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN - Pre-shared key based L2TP/IPSecVPN
  • Add L2TP/IPSec CRT VPN - Certiciate based L2TP/IPSecVPN

8. Select your choice and fill in the connection detail. Your network administrator should give you this information so that you could use it to connect. If you don't have this information make sure you ask them for it.

Depending on the type of connection you are setting up, you typically would need to fill in information such VPN Name, Set VPN Server, Enable encryption and DNS search domains.

Once you have configured the settings, you could try to connect and see if it works.
