Whether your Samsung Galaxy Ace device is performing poorly, frozen, not responding or you simply just want to start fresh again, you could hard reset the device back to the default factory settings.
Dial a Reset - this is the simplest way.
1. On the dial pad put in *2767*3855#.
Hardware key
1. Press and hold the Power + Menu button. Shortly a restore menu appears.
2. Then select Wipe data/factory reset.
3. Now select Yes to proceed.
4. Wait for the Samsung Galaxy Ace to finish the process, and after it finishes, select Reboot now.
5. Now wait for the phone to start up.
Note: If you having trouble just pull out the battery and start again from step 1 to 5.
Settings Menu
1. Go back to the Home screen.
2. Next tap on the application list.
3. Select Settings.
4. Then choose Privacy.
5. Next tap on Factory data reset.
6. Then select Reset phone. If you want to wipe out all data on the SD card then make sure the checkbox Erase USB storage is ticked.
7. Next follow the onscreen instruction to finish off the process.
Soft Reset
To soft reset simply pull out the battery, wait for more then 10 seconds and put it back. Switch on the device to boot up.
