So, my fortieth Mothering Sunday. Although I don’t remember
the first few. We don’t always agree, my mum and I. We
might argue about politics (she’s quite a lot more right
wing than me, mainly from reading the Daily Mail). But,
honestly, these days, we mostly do. It’s nice, that. I like
that I have parents, both mum and dad, who I can ring up
and tell them about how work is going and who I’m hoping to
get as clients and which flats I want to buy.
If you’re currently avoiding talking to your parents, because they’re
just annoying or something… you should think about
rebuilding that bridge. It’s worth hearing from them.
