The Standard PHP Library is a PHP extension developed by Marcus Boerger which

is a collection of interfaces and classes that are meant to solve standard problems.


Anyway, reading Harry Fuecks' recent Sitepoint article Introducing PHP 5's Standard Library opened my eyes.
