Symbian has agreed to license ActiveSync synchronization software from Microsoft in an effort to win more corporate customers. This will enable users of smartphones that run on Symbian software to wirelessly receive emails via network computers that run Microsoft's Exchange Server software. Nokia which sells most of the Symbian-based smartphones, last month signed a deal with Microsoft to license the same software for use in its enterprise devices.
