Well, I guess I haven't had enough change in my life the past year.

My employer, Attachmate, has been purchased by an investment group who also recently purchased WRQ; a fierce former competitor of Attachmate. WRQ, a seattle (thank goodness) mainframe/integration ISV and Attachmate will merge and form a new company.

This is terribly exciting and frightening all at the same time and I am really not sure what side of the fence I currently am on... I guess I will have to wait until the shock subsides and then I will try to understand where I lie.

As Pat Helland says "You think you have a homogeneous system now, just wait until the merger." I must wait no longer.

Hmm.. I wonder what bug tracking software WRQ uses?
