Sean
McCormack, a member of Miller’s Information Systems team has been honored by
Microsoft as one of 198 "Most Valuable Professionals," worldwide.
According
to Microsoft’s web site, “The Microsoft MVP program is a worldwide award
and recognition program that strives to identify amazing individuals
in technical communities around the world. Microsoft MVPs are recognized for both
their demonstrated practical expertise and willingness to share their experience with
peers in Microsoft technical communities.”
“This
is quite an accomplishment because the honor recognizes contributions made by IT professionals
around the globe,” said Dave Baumann, Vice President – IS. “Sean
is a key contributor in the IS Division and this recognition reflects his high level
of performance and skill.”
According to the
web site (for anyone who understands “computer talk”): “Sean serves
as the Lead .NET Architect for Miller Brewing Co., guiding the development of their
next generation enterprise framework. His previous experience includes serving as
the Director of Technology for an eCommerce company and a touch-screen voting company,
Lead Developer for an enterprise content management company, Technical Manager for
a national automotive portal, and as an Arabic Linguist and Cryptologist for the Department
of Defense. Sean currently leads the Adapdev open-source foundation, helping to develop
top notch open-source applications for the .NET community. His two most recent applications
include Zanebug (a unit testing tool) and Codus (a code generation tool).”
