I think Microsoft is going to eventually topple Sony, maybe not with this upcoming generation but definitely by the next generation. Why? Because they get it. It’s all about online. Xbox Live is the best out there right now, and the next version is only going to get better especially considering there will be a free version. Sony is boasting about graphics quality, but they are missing what will win the battle of the living room. In Sony’s big PS3 announcement there was no mention of online, I am sure they will have something, but this shows that it is not their focus and they are obviously not putting the same amount of effort into it. (although it does have 2 gigabit ethernet ports) Your game might look better, but I will put it down in a flash to play with other live people. (Even though they call me the Zanzibar Sniper)
On the Nintendo front I have heard you will be able to access and play all the old Nintendo games online with the Nintendo revolution, if that is true then count me in. I want to play Baseball Stars bad.
Sony needs to get their act together if they want to stay on top. They need an integrated, one sign in, online service.
