Ok, I am behind on TechEd blogging so I need to catch up.
Day -1
I flew in on Saturday and went with Dave to the Pary with Palermo, tons of fun. Met lots of people I knew and lots of people I didn't. We didn't get their in time for the dinner, but we hung out with everyone at the bar.
Day 0
Went to the INETA User Group Leader summit which had some good content. Was very impressed by the Ari Bixhorn keynote, really showed off Indigo and some of what you can do. Took a break at lunch to register for the conference and went to eat with Drew, Dave, and Nathan at the Peabody. After a couple INETA sessions and the reception I called it a night.
Day 1
The fun starts. Got up early and got over in time for the keynote, they had Samantha Bee from the Daily Show… but they didn't let her interview Ballmer which would have been the best. Ballmer was good and the demos were pretty good, but nothing really ground-breaking. After the keynote I tracked down Scott Nonnenberg and Josh Ledgard, it was good to put faces to names and to meet a couple of the guys who have helped me out recently. I kind of hung out for awhile and didn't attend any sessions until Anders Heljsberg’s C# 2.0 session and white board talk, I will blog about those in a separate post.
I did my talk at the O’reilly booth which went OK, it was great to meet some of the guys there who I have been working with for the last year. I then walked around the Expo center and tracked down Eric Sink who I couldn’t wait to meet and tell him how much I loved his blog and MSDN articles. After that I went back to the hotel to drop my stuff off then went to a party at the Nascar Cafe in Universal (which actually turned out to be fun since the games were all un-locked (yes I played Dance Dance Revolution))
