I slept in today (was out a little too late last night) so I didn't make it over to the convention center until right around lunch. I went to a VSTO Advanced Programming and Deployment session that was not very good. It was supposed to be a lvl 300 presentation but didn’t include much more than intro material to server-side programming and a very basic overview of deployment scenarios. It ended 30 minutes early, always a bad sign.
Then I went to Jeffrey Richter’s session on CLR Internals. Great session, he went through the entire CLR process and I learned quite a bit of new stuff. (for instance the noop IL instructions you see in normally compiled code are used for debugging and are removed when you switch to optimized code) And lots of other good stuff.
Tonight is the attendee party at Universal, but I think I am skipping it since there has been a party every night this week and I need to pack before the morning. (Its also raining and I bet with 12,000 people it would be a mess getting in and out of there)
