VSTS Guru Dave Bost has the goods on the Data Tier install for the July CTP drop of Team System. As he notes, they are back to only supporting a dual-server install (-. But the really important thing to note is “The July CTP must be installed with the June CTP drop of SQL Server 2005. The June CTP drop of SQL Server cannot be installed on a domain controller. Dan Jones explains why over on the MSDN forums.” Good things I read that before install!!! I can add, from experience, that the July VSTS will not work on Windows Vista and the June Yukon won't install either. From the looks of it so far, I have not read of anyone successful with either.
