Ok, without rhyme or reason, this is how I think the division standings will end up at the end of the regular season.  I’m not to go as far as predicting records (yet).  I’m just giving you how its going to play out.

AFC East

  • New England – yz
  • Buffalo
  • NY Jets
  • Miami

AFC North

  • Pittsburgh – *yz
  • Cincinnati – x
  • Baltimore
  • Cleveland

AFC South

  • Indianapolis – y
  • Houston
  • Tennessee
  • Jacksonville

AFC West – This will be the closest division

  • San Diego – y
  • Oakland – x
  • Kansas City
  • Denver

NFC East

  • Philadelphia – *yz
  • Dallas - x
  • Washington
  • NY Giants

NFC North

  • Minnesota – yz
  • Green Bay – x
  • Detroit
  • Chicago

NFC South

  • Atlanta – y
  • Carolina
  • New Orleans
  • Tampa Bay

NFC West

  • Seattle – y
  • St. Louis
  • Arizona
  • San Francisco

x-clinched playoff berth
y-clinched division title
z-clinched first-round bye
*-clinched homefield advantage
