After a comment on a recent post suggested that my views on SOA were just a description of REST I wanted to put the record straight. I'm squarely in the MEST camp (that's MESsage Transfer). However, the tooling today (and tomorrow from what I've seen of Indigo) is not particularly inducive to MEST architectures. So I've started building such tooling. Things are going incredibly well and I intend to unveil my creation at the MVP Global Summit (no PDC for me, thanks). Let me just say that for any system that needs more than one computer on which to run (basic 2 machine client-server and upwards) I will no longer use anything else....
