Just got a new printer. Fantastic. Prints like a dream, except for the complexity of colour.
We need a level of abstraction against colour formats, CMYK, RGB, and the relevant profiles.

I have a very particular CMYK colour that I want to print, every second third print comes out slightly differently. My understanding of the profiles are extremely low.

The thing is though, how does the average home user (non technical ability) get it right, if myself (rather good at debugging problems), another talented chap sitting next to me and a graphic design can't fathom it.
