Okay, so given all that I have gone through in the last year spending days installing TFS betas and CTPs, I should have been crazy to start installing a TFS Beta at around 8 PM Eastern before an 8:45 AM session on it tomorrow morning. Well, it didn't take days this time. Its all installed and running in less than 4 hours (including installing Win2K3 and SP1, etc.). There is no complex Active Directory required anymore, no convoluted steps. I just installed everything to local Win2K3 accounts. The new System Health Check rocks! Instead of fishing around for hours and emailing Rob, it looks at the whole underlying software and figures out of everything is installed and working correctly (it found my SQL Server Services not started). This is simply amazing. Now the guinea pigs lovely audience members in the 9AM session in the Executive Briefing Center will see Beta 3 first hand! That's right; if you are going to Code Camp, and you want to see Beta 3 first hand, you want to pack into my small room (Thom had to move my session) in the morning and not go to those other speakers-)
