I'm up late trying to complete my dasBlog upgrade (got tired of all the comment spammers,
so I had to upgrade to get the CAPTCHA and url blacklisting support).
In the background I've got the Adam Carolla show on...you'd recognize him from the
original "Man Show" on Comedy Central (along w/ Jimmy Kimmel). Yes, the original
Man Show when it was funny...before they left. ;)
So, the producers of the Adam Carolla show thought it would be a brilliant idea to
get Steve-O drunk before coming on to do his stunt. If you don't know who Steve-O
is, he's one of the original Jack Ass members, and does a bunch of extreme MTV shows
now like Wild Boyz where they mess with wild animals.
If you've seen Steve-O in any show, you know he's all about pranks and physical contact,
so getting him drunk before a live show probably isn't the best idea.
Steve-O came out extremely drunk and ended up tackling Adam. Adam was in a large
chair and got knocked over and had to wrestle with Steve-O to get up, losing his microphone
in the process. Then, Steve-O kicked a glass table on purpose and broke it,
cutting his foot in the process. Finally, they had to bring out security, restrain
him and take him off stage. Oh, and that wasn't part of the stunt. ;)
He never got to it so Adam ended up having to do it to feel time.
Pretty freakin funny. The replay is available here online, along with some other
