I have no idea where to turn to solve this problem, so I'm hoping one of my readers can lead me to some help.
I moved from Colorado to Washington at the end of March. Because of a lack of paperwork, I filed an extension on my already completed taxes for April 15th. The state of Colorado sent me a copy of check in June asking "what is this for?". I replied with their form.
They haven't cashed the check. It's been 7 months now. I'm keeping a Colorado checking account open, at a cost of $8/month, just because of this one outstanding check.
I have no idea who to contact in Colorado to get them to resolve this. Can anybody help? Please contact me.
