First:

I have a system. Blue folders are for clients. Manila folders are for employees. Red folders are receipts. Everything else is yellow. I needed a blue folder and had run out.

So I said to myself, "What the heck, I'm going to need a blue folder eventually anyway, I might as well go to Staples and buy some now."

Which was, of course, a waste of time.

Next:

I keep claiming that private offices are more productive than open space plans or cubicles, but the one advantage of open space which people keep bringing up is all the accidental, serendipitous knowledge transfer that takes place when everyone overhears everyone else.
