Benjamin (and Larry) have noticed the recent emphasis internally within Microsoft on working with communities, but it sounds like we're being too heavy-handed for his liking in some forums. What Benjamin appreciates in the Java world is a thriving developer community which doesn’t feel owned by anybody in particular. It's difficult to get the balance right, I guess - I also regularly see the criticism that we don't get involved enough.

I'd like to hear your feedback on this: what are we doing wrong, what are we doing right?
