Awhile back, I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is a Linux advocate. We talked about how people who favored their particular OS (Windows or Linux - or even Mac OS X) live in communities that have lunatic fringe elements who give the rest of their community a bad name.

For example, not all Linux people look to nuke Microsoft and Windows. They "prefer" Linux and would like to see it adopted on a wider level, but they're not what I now call "information technology terrorists".

So, what is an IT Terrorist? Well, Michael Robertson (of Lindows.com) is a great example. Check out his latest posts where he calls Office 2003 "the world's most dangerous virus", and accuses Microsoft's initiative of providing software as a service as a means for their "evil empire" to break into your machine any time they want.

I would find this amusing if it weren't for the legions of people out there who are not as informed as we technology people are. There's just no room for this kind of blatant scare-tactic propoganda crap - no matter which OS group it comes from.
