On 1st December the European Commission announced that it has selected the bid from Cornwell Management Consultants plc to be awarded the MoReq2 development contract.
As part of Cornwell's process for defining the MoReq2 spec, they have invited vendors and customers to participate in a panel, in which requirements and feedback will be gathered.
Microsoft have been invited to participate in this panel, and we have accepted the invite. This will allow us to keep close to the process and feed back our thoughts and ideas.
The need for a 'MoReq' - or 'Model Requirements' - in electronic records management was originally identified by the DLM Forum in the late 1990s. The original MoReq specification was produced in 2001 by Cornwell, after an international competition run by the European Commission. Since then, MoReq has become recognised throughout Europe and beyond.
