Like many others I am currently installing my Longhorn PDC bits in a Virtual PC 2004 sandbox. I am at the stage where it says "Please wait while Setup detects your computer's hardware. This can take up to 10 minutes." The trouble is that it has been taking over an hour and 1/2-) Has anyone experienced this?

I'm sure one of my issues is that I have the virtual drive for Longhorn on an external USB drive. I wonder if its confusing things. Anyone doing anything similar?
