Feed Description: A technology blog with a focus on the .NET framework, the Visual Studio .NET tools and the Windows server platform with of course the normal weblog-noise on what's happening in the industry and reviews of the latest geeky gadgets.
We (the Microsoft
Switzerland DPE team) have created a Windows Vista Sidebar gadget together with Futurecom that
shows our upcoming events for developers, architects and IT-professionals. Events
can be filtered by language, region and audience, so you will always just see the
upcoming events that are of interest to you. A fly-out shows event details and links
to the event registration site.
For me, this was a great way to get up to speed in real gadget development and brush
up my JavaScript skills. Except for the slightly cumbersome debugging of JavaScript
code, I find it a very flexible and powerful platform for the tiny utility-applications,
that Gadgets are meant to be.
