I've decided to try and get in on the newsgroup bandwagon. Mostly, I'll be lurking and  throwing my 0.02$ around these groups:

(all start with “Microsoft.Public.Dotnet“)

  • Framework
  • Framework.adonet
  • Framework.windowsforms
  • Framework.windowsforms.databinding
  • Languages.csharp
  • Languages.vb

Got any more suggestions? I'll be using the newsreader I mentioned in my previous post. We'll see how it goes.

I've never been a big fan of newsgroups. I don't really know why. Perhaps it's because, 99% of the time, I was able to find an answer for my problems quicker using other sources, mainly Google. But, I'll give it a try. If nothing else, at least I get to try a cool new tool (which is usually my motive for doing anything really).

Also, I hear it's the only way in the world to get an MVP (which I think is a stupid measure). Yes folks. Be surprised, but I do have an agenda behind this “selfless” act. I wanna be an MVP and get all those goodies I keep hearing about. Well, that and I generally like to help people. But swag is a great way to thank me for it, don't you think? :)
